This year, I’ve decided to read in the Short Stories/Collections category, along with a few other random books that piqued my fancy.
Fallen in Love doesn’t really fit in the flow of the rest of the series, since it’s written from the perspectives of people other than Luce, but then it also sort of does fit. It’s about love stories, but not the same way that the rest of the books are. With the exception of the last story, all of them are about other characters in the series, and it’s fun to see them in their own contexts, to learn more about how they act and feel.
By the time I got to the end of the Otherworld series, I wanted there to be more. And thankfully, there are tons of other stories about the characters out there. First, I went ahead and read Men of the Otherworld and this collection, but they were just the jumping of point for me to go on and read all the various short stories I could find.
I was really looking forward to reading this book. I loved the series, and was excited that I’d get to read more about the adventures of the main characters. I was also, I admit, hoping for a bit more on the romance angle, either between Henry/Vicki or Celluci/Vicki.
So when I heard that Roth would be releasing a collection of stories written from Tobias/Four’s point of view, I really wanted to read them. I saw the book in an airport over the summer when I was travelling, but then forgot about it until earlier this month. I then snatched it up pretty much immediately.
