In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren and inspired by Pop Culture Junkie. Every week (or skipping some, depending on how frequently new books enter my life!), I’ll be posting on Sundays about what books I got, from all sources – bought, borrowed, exchanged, etc. Review Copies: I just got back into the country from the Dominican Republic today, so I actually haven’t bought any books all week! However, I did receive a few review copies in the mail while I was away. Kissing the Mask: Beauty, Understatement, and Femininity in Japanese Noh Theatre, with some thoughts on Muses (especially Helga Testorf), Transgender Women, Kabuki Goddesses, Porn Queens, Poets, Housewives, Makeup Artists, Geishas, Valkyries, and Venus Figurines by William T. Vollmann A Century Turns: New Hopes, New Fears by William J. Bennett
