I hadn’t heard of this series until I saw a preview for the movie before seeing Catching Fire with Amy in a theatre over the winter break. And to be honest, the preview looked kind of cheesy, but since Amy said that the books weren’t that bad, I thought I’d give them a shot.
I would never have heard of this series if it weren’t for the television show Rizzoli & Isles. So sometimes tv can be a good thing, right?
I have a confession to make: I watched the NetFlix series based on this book before I picked it up. I hadn’t really had much of an interest in reading it, to be honest, despite my usual taste for memoir. After watching some really fantastic acting, though, I decided to give Kerman a try.
Somehow I didn’t know that these short stories existed all in one collection until quite a while after I finished reading The Southern Vampires Mysteries series.
