I’m really starting to get into this series! (And still totally surprised at how much I’m enjoying it, given how hard I tried to avoid it when it was popular.)

The Prisoner of Azkaban was more interesting for me than The Chamber of Secrets was – I think because there was more going on, and more character development and detail.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Review)

I liked this book, but not as much as I liked Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Or, at least, in different ways.

A lot of what I missed in this book, but enjoyed in the first volume, was related to the magic: my favourite part of The Philosopher’s Stone was learning about the magical world that Rowling had created, and about Hogwarts, and things like that.
