Ramadan Reading: Wrap-Up

During the month of Ramadan (August 11 – September 10), I posted daily reviews of books that deal with Islam, as well as other discussion posts related to the topics that come out of these books. I wrote about both fiction and non-fiction books, and from a variety of sources and perspectives.

Yesterday was Eid, so that means that Ramadan is now over, taking this month’s event with it. There was one last book that I was hoping to read and review, but once school started this week, I simply didn’t have time to get as much reading done as I had planned. But all in all, this was a fantastic month of blogging on my end, and I’m thankful that you all joined me for it!

If you missed part of the month, or just want an overview of what I reviewed and posted, you can take a look at the schedule for Ramadan Reading 2010. There are links on that page to all of the book reviews I wrote, as well as the guest reviews and guest posts generously provided by other bloggers (and one by an author).

Now that my first month-long event is over, it’s time for me to take a step back and reflect on how things went. This is where you all come in – I’d like to solicit some comments and suggestions from you! I’m thinking of making this a yearly event, and would really welcome your opinions and thoughts for improvement.

Please take a few minutes to fill out this form. It should take less than 5 minutes, and would be very helpful for me!

Again, thank you so much for joining in this month – I had a great time, and hope that you did, too.

  1. I have just recently joined your blog and missed some of your previous readings, so thank you for posting your reading schedule. What I have read I have enjoyed because it has helped me to step out of the books that I normally read and try something new. Please do it again next year – maybe have a read-a-long of a book that you think is really inspiring.

  2. I’m really sorry that I have been away for just this month and that I missed out on this event. It was one of the things I was really looking forward to.

    1. It’s okay, the posts are still all there! I will also definitely be doing this again next year, I had a really great time and got a lot of reader involvement. 🙂
