In My Mailbox

May 16, 2010

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren and inspired by Pop Culture Junkie.

Every week (or skipping some, depending on how frequently new books enter my life!), I’ll be posting on Sundays about what books I got, from all sources – bought, borrowed, exchanged, etc.

Bought in-store from Chapters:

  1. The Book of Awesome: Snow Days, Bakery Air, Finding Money in Your Pocket, and Other Simple Brilliant Things by Neil Pasricha

Yup, I bought a copy for myself! I saw it on display and just couldn’t help it. This way I can hopefully get a review up in the next couple weeks, before my giveaway ends!

(You do know that I’m having a giveaway of this book, right? Right?! If you don’t, I’m telling you now – I’m giving away a copy of The Book of Awesome at the end of June. The giveaway post is here. Go enter!)

i saw this book on another blog and thought it was so cute! one of my favorite ‘awesomes’ is coming back to my car in a parking lot and finding the car parked face into mine is gone and i can pull straight through instead of backing up! how nerdy is that? lol. congrats on all your milestones. 🙂

I love that one! It doesn’t happen as much now that I don’t drive very often, but I find something similar with my bike – I love getting to where I parked my bike, and finding that the bike on the other side of the post has left, so it’s easier to disentangle my bike and get out of there quicker!

What a great header on your blog (I am a big Scrabble fan).

I hope the book will be “awesome”!

I’ve seen this book around too. It is smaller than I thought it was too! So what would you put in your book of awesome?? 🙂
