The exciting prequel to the Beauchamp Family series from Blue Bloods author, Melissa de la Cruz.

I’m glad that I read this book immediately before starting to read Witches of East End, because otherwise, it would have been rather pointless. Not much happens in this novella; rather, it’s a collection of short diary entries that tie loosely into the beginning of the series. It’s not even essential reading for the series, to be honest, as it doesn’t contribute anything essential to the plot or characters. If you’re already planning to go ahead and start with WOEE, then pick this one up. But otherwise, don’t expect it to be all that interesting as a stand-alone.
