This weekend, June 11-13, Natasha of Maw Books is hosting Bloggiesta. It’s a blogging marathon that we can use to improve our blogs alongside other bloggers doing the same thing. In Natasha’s words, “Break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two!” I’ll be joining in for as much of the weekend as I can, since I have a long list of things that I’d like to get done.
You can see my starting point for the weekend, as well as my list of things to do (and progress reports throughout the list) here. I’m pretty happy with myself – there are only three things left on the list(out of 40+) that didn’t get finished, and none of them are particularly urgent.
It’s over there as well, but for simplicity’s sake, here’s my time tally for the weekend:
- Friday = 8 hours
- Saturday = 3 hours
- Sunday = 14 hours
- Monday = 2 hours
- Total = 27 hours
I have gotten absolutely no reading done this weekend, which feels weird. But it’s okay, because I feel like I’m more organized to go forward, spending all my energy on reading for a while and just being able to pull up the blog to type in reviews and move on without too much fuss.
Tomorrow, I plan to get around to read more of the blogs from the festivities, since I mostly skimmed throughout the weekend in order to get things done. I’ve already found some really fantastic blogs to subscribe to, so I’m expecting to find even more tomorrow when my head is clear and not hyper-focused on blogging improvements anymore!
