Bloggiesta: I Am Number Four

September 28, 2012

Bloggiesta has moved this year and is being hosted by Suey from It’s All About Books and Danielle from There’s a Book. Here’s the details:

Bloggiesta begins now and runs through Sunday night… wherever you are. We don’t have specific starting and ending times…. just Friday September 28 through Sunday September 30… wherever and whenever you are in the world!

This is a blogging party led by our fearless mascot PEDRO (Plan. Edit. Develop. Review. Organize.) and created several years ago by Natasha from Maw Books Blog. The idea behind Bloggiesta is to keep Pedro happy by spending these next three days working on perfecting your blog and connecting with other bloggers doing the same thing.

You can read about my Bloggiesta escapades from previous events here, here, here, and here.

This Bloggiesta, I actually have the whole weekend to myself to do as much as I want! And I’ve really gotten quite behind on some bloggy tasks, so this couldn’t have come at a better time.

Goals for this Bloggiesta:

  • Create a vlog
  • Work on blogger contact list
  • Update blog roll finished Saturday @12:22am
  • Put out invitations for re-starting Reading Roots series
  • Follow up on previous invitations for Reading Roots series
  • Set up draft posts for upcoming reviews finished this before the weekend started
  • Clean out starred items in Google reader
  • Clean up blog subscriptions finished Saturday @ 2:22pm
  • Carry over my reviews to my LibraryThing account
  • Carry over audiobook reviews to I won’t be doing this anymore, after reading this on the page where you write reviews: “All the submitted reviews become the property of as set forth in our Conditions of Use.”
  • Catch up on writing review posts
    • Fifty Shades of Grey
    • Fifty Shades Darker
    • Fifty Shades Freed
    • The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
    • Beauty’s Punishment
    • Beauty’s Release

I’ll be updating my progress in the list and/or at the bottom of this post so that I don’t clog up people’s feeds. If you’re participating in Bloggiesta, let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to come by, say hello, and cheer you on!

Hi! I have so much going on this weekend, but I’m hoping to get a few things that I’ve been putting off done around the blog. I changed templates last month so have some clean up work there.

Changing templates always proves to be more complicated than you expect at first! I hope you get everything done that you need to. 🙂

I have so many reviews to write and my blog roll is a mess. Good luck with all your goals!

    • Carina September 29, 2012 at 12:31 pm

Yeah … I basically just took off blogs that either don’t exist anymore or that I haven’t followed in months. I might add a couple blogs or project/group blogs later, but for now my goal was just to tidy it up a bit!

Hello! It’s my first time participating in bloggiesta and I’ve almost lost count of how many times I’ve had to type that, lol. Your list seems great and ambitious. I don’t think I will ever be brave enough to have a vlog. Good luck with everything!

Yanno, “do a vlog” has been on my to-do list for the past four Bloggiestas! And I was all psyched to do one this time, but now I’ve fallen sick this weekend. So it’s probably not going to happen this time, either. 🙁

I am always behind on my reviews…and I’m hoping to catch up on them this weekend!

    Good luck with your goals!

I came here today as part of the “getting personal” mini-challenge. I enjoyed learning more about you personally. You have an impressive career, and literacy is a fabulous goal.

I see that you’ve crossed off a number of tasks on your to-do list. Congrats!!
